Getting Started

The Format dialog box can format a drive in the exFAT format on a Windows PC.

Step 1. Connect the SSD to your computer.

Step 2. Choose Start>Computer and right-click on your SSD.

Step 3. From the contextual menu, choose Format.

Step 4. Set the ﬁle system to "exFAT" and the allocation unit size to 128 kilobytes.

Step 5. Ty p e a v o lu m e la be l , s e l ec t " Q ui c k Fo rm a t" a n d cl i ck " S ta r t " .

Step 6. Your SSD will qui ckly be formatted and made ready for use w ith Hype rDec k.

Use the Format dialog box feature in Windows to format your

SSD in the exFAT format.
